Activities I Enjoy
Do what you enjoy and enjoy what you do.
Photography
It’s no secret I love to wander around, observe and document everyday magical moments and interesting things.
On my walks, I find beauty in the mundane, the unusual and the unexpected. I vigorously explore urban landscapes fascinated by the fusion and the clash of natural environments vs. man-made construction.
Besides walking around cities and noticing interesting people, iconic buildings, majestic trees and fascinating art, I especially enjoy spending time in nature. Whether I’m forest bathing, admiring a magnificent tree, inspecting a wonderful fern, a charming moss or waiting for a squirrel to accept me so I can get a better shot, I just feel joyful around old trees and wildlife.
Additionally, photography enables me to connect to my tribe in fun and beautiful ways. It allows me to record emotions and unveil the beauty hidden within. By taking candid portrait shots I aim to remind people just how beautiful their are and inspire them to be more confident and happy. Seeing a person’s face light up with joy while observing an image of themselves and their loved ones is pure magic.
Fun facts about me
Dark curvy soul stuck in a skinny white body, life, go figure.
Quirky personality with a dark sense of humor.
Black is my happy color.
Despite not being born in a tropical country, I consider myself a tropical plant at heart.
I’m drawn to jungle-inspired, unconventional foliage plants such as ferns, mosses, and carnivorous varieties, preferring them over traditional flowering houseplants. In fact, whenever a flower appears, I promptly remove it due to allergies and potential stinger insects!
My heart skips a beat when biophilic design meets iconic architecture.
A few years ago I had a near death experience and it changed my everything.

How I got started with Photography
While battling cancer, I started using photography as a form of therapy.
Bringing my full attention to the subject matter in front of me would distract me from the insanely intense pain tearing me apart from within. I would fully immerse myself in the study of light, the angles, and the emotion of a scene.
Allowing myself to be seduced by the sensual play of light, shadow, textures, colors and reflections would provide a much needed distraction. Such pure focus left little room for anything but being present in the moment and trying to capture it’s essence.
Photography soon became more then a hobby. It became a passion, a lifestyle, a life choice. I fell deeply in love with this medium because it allowed me to channel the pain and rage into something constructive when I really needed it.
Today, it serves as a powerful tool that helps me share how I see the world for what it is and what it could be.
I use photography to draw attention to subjects I find interesting. This results in an ever-growing portfolio of portrait photography, botanical photography, urban architecture photography, street photography, nature photography, as well as still life and fine art pieces.
